Kakumäe’s Biggest Fans

For Monika and her family, Kakumäe is more than just a neighborhood; it’s a way of life. They’ve fallen in love with everything this area has to offer, and for Monika, Kakumäe Paradise isn’t just another project; it’s something deeply personal and meaningful.

How Did This Love Story Begin?

My connection to this area started over 25 years ago when I would go rollerblading and sunbathe on the beach. Even then, I dreamed of one day calling this place home.

This area has always felt like the most perfect part of Tallinn. The natural surroundings, the sea, opportunities for an active lifestyle, and quick access to any part of the city just made sense. Over the past 25 years, the area has only improved, and it continues evolving into something even more extraordinary.

As a mother of three young children, I value the safety and strong sense of community above all else. My kids can quickly and safely get to school or their activities without me worrying or spending too much time driving them around.

I can step outside my front door, just a short walk away from a blueberry-filled forest, a sandy beach, or the marina with its restaurants and summer concerts. In the summer, I can throw on my rollerblades right on my doorstep and switch them out for skis in winter. Or I can sit at home, look out at the greenery, and enjoy the peaceful silence—or open the window and listen to birdsong and the gentle rustle of the wind.

If you ask people where they’d love to live, the answer often feels impossible: in the city, in the forest, and by the sea—all at once. But here, it’s real. It’s all together in one place. This truly is Paradise.
